Solar Power Jobs Outlook Good!

According to the Advanced Energy Economy 2016 Market Report, US advanced energy is now a $200-billion-dollar industry, creating more revenue than both pharmaceuticals manufacturing and beer. Globally, the number tops over $1.4 trillion – a revenue stream that bests both the fashion and airline industries. As quoted on CNBC, the National Solar Jobs Census found one in 50 new US jobs last year. Here at Cypress Creek Renewables, we’re proud to be a part of this economic powerhouse. Not only do we love participating in an industry that is changing the world energy economy for the better by generating clean, renewable power, we’re proud to be part of the solar power jobs boom. This employment growth, per the most recent census from the Solar Foundation, has driven the solar industry to expand to 260,000 jobs nationwide.

To put this in perspective, a recent article from the Environmental Defense Fund states that employment in the solar energy industry is higher than both coal mining and oil and gas extraction. The fact that many of these jobs are in the construction and installation of solar farms and residential solar means they are impossible to outsource.
