Steel River Energy Center
A major new energy investment designed to deliver reliable, affordable power for Arkansas
About the Project
The Steel River Energy Center is one of the most significant new energy infrastructure projects in the United States. The project is being developed using American-made materials whenever possible, including structural steel, with additional equipment and supplies sourced from Arkansas-based companies when available.
Once complete, Steel River will add locally generated, cost-effective power to help meet the region’s rapidly growing demand and ensure the electric system has the capacity needed to keep Arkansas homes and businesses running. The project will include advanced battery storage technology that allows electricity to be delivered when it is needed most. This supports grid reliability, reduces the risk of outages, and helps keep electricity prices stable.

Our Community Commitment
At Cypress Creek Energy, being a good neighbor means more than building energy projects. We believe our work should leave communities stronger. As a long-term owner and operator of energy infrastructure, we approach every project with a commitment to responsible development, partnership, and lasting local benefits.
Responsible Development

We develop and operate projects with a focus on safety, long- term stewardship, and respect for the communities where we work. Because we own and operate our projects for decades, we plan, build, and manage them with the expectation that we will be part of the community for years to come. Our projects support local economies, strengthen the electric grid, and are designed to protect the land for future use.
Corporate Giving

We invest directly in the communities where we build. Through our Cypress Creek Community Partnership Grants program, we provide funding to schools, youth organizations, and community partners, with a focus on projects that support long-term local priorities. We take the time to listen first and work with community members to understand where support can make the greatest difference.
