Cypress Creek Provides Utility Scale Solar Power to South Carolina

Utility Scale Solar Power Is One of the Most Effective Ways to Deliver Clean Renewable Energy to the Greatest Number of People

Here at Cypress Creek Renewables, we believe in a clean energy future, and to that end, we are committed to putting as much solar into the ground as possible. We know that to achieve the widespread adoption of renewable energy, we must generate solar in volume and utilize the existing energy grid and transmission infrastructure for delivery. But we also know that every community is different and most areas do not have the space for endlessly sprawling solar farms. Because of this, we focus our energies on small utility scale solar power developments.

Small utility scale solar power developments are one of the best ways to generate local solar energy, because they positively affect the greatest number of people with the least amount of impact on the environment. One of the states in which we have devoted a significant portion of our efforts to date is South Carolina.

Cypress Creek Renewables is currently developing or has already completed projects in the following South Carolina counties:

These solar farm developments range in size from 2 to 20 megawatts and, once completed, will provide renewable, affordable solar power to thousands of South Carolina homes through their pre-existing utility networks. One of the primary benefits of this methodology is that it takes the burden of responsibility for our nation’s transition to clean energy off of the individual and makes solar a profitable energy alternative for utilities.

Our efforts in South Carolina are truly a collaborative effort, and we appreciate the support of the South Carolina Governor’s Office and the South Carolina Department of Commerce in their proactive efforts to bring a viable clean energy option to the state.

“This investment by Cypress Creek Renewables will further strengthen South Carolina’s growing reputation in the area of renewable energy. Providing both positive economic and environmental impacts, I’m proud to welcome Cypress Creek to our state and look forward to growing this terrific partnership in the years ahead.”

–Secretary of Commerce Bobby Hitt

“We’re excited to see Cypress Creek continue to invest in our state and our people. We have worked extremely hard to build a business environment in South Carolina that is open to all kinds of companies, and we look forward to seeing both Cypress Creek and the renewable energy industry grow here in the future.”

–Gov. Nikki Haley
