Women in Solar: Kelsey Bobrinskoy

March is Women’s History month. As a tribute, we wanted to highlight a few of the amazing women that are helping Cypress Creek to power a more sustainable future, one project at a time. This week we are proud to introduce Kelsey Bobrinskoy, Senior Director of Account Management for Cypress Creek Solutions. She leads the account management team, overseeing the commercial relationships with all of our 3rd party Operations and Maintenance customers and helping the team ensure we are prepared to operate projects safely and successfully from Day 1.

What does it mean to you to be a woman in clean energy?
It’s such an exciting time to be in clean energy for all of us! The Solutions space especially is so diverse. We’re a team made up of electricians, engineers, vegetation experts, business operations, etc. all coming from very different backgrounds and located all across the country. Being a woman is just another aspect of that diversity of our team. To me it’s really about embracing the diversity, and leading by example for other women in this space.

What is the best career-related advice you've ever received?
You can have unbelievable intelligence, you can have connections, you can have opportunities fall out of the sky. But in the end, hard work is the true, enduring characteristic of successful people.

What advice do you have for other women working in, or looking to work in, clean energy?
Don’t be afraid to take on things you’ve never done before. Seek opportunities to learn new things. There’s something you can learn from everyone you work with and interact with.

Cypress Creek team members embody our 5 core values: Care, Courage, Creativity, Conviction, Collaboration. Pick one and tell us what it means to you.
Collaboration is what brings me to work every day. Everything my team and I do is about working together to achieve a common goal. Whether that’s partnering with our Operations and Maintenance customers or teaming up with our field team and engineers to solve challenging problems, I truly believe the whole is greater than the sum of parts when it comes to the work we do at Cypress Creek.

What is something outside of work that people would find interesting about you?
Outside of work, I’m a mom to two amazing little girls who are 1.5 and 3.5. My hobbies these days mostly revolve around family bike & scooter rides. 😊
